Information reaching us indicates that seven (7) heavily armed National Security officials all wielding automatic AK47 and other guns have currently stormed the premises of top Ghanaian Media house Citi FM/TV.
The National Security officials raided the premises to arrest Citi FM journalist Zoe Abu Baidoo after they detained her colleague Caleb Kudah over a video recording.
Without initially speaking to anyone at the station, the team of seven chased Zoe Abu Baidoo who became afraid and run when she saw them coming towards her.
The seven armed National Security men chased her to be whisked away in two unmarked 4-wheel drive vehicles they brought for the operation, MyNewsGh.com was told.
The arrest is reportedly related to a video recording Caleb Kudah made at a National Security facility details of which are sketchy.
Owner of Citi FM, Samuel Atta Mensa popularly known as Sammens and General Manager of the station Benard Avle who were immediately called upon to the scene refused to allow the Mrs Abu Baidoo to be taken to join Caleb Kudah by the National Security men.
After a back and forth however, Sammens joined them to be taken away together as a compromise. They are enroute to National Security’s BlueGate as at the time of filing this report.
Staff of Citi FM and Citi TV are reportedly agitated and fearful about the raid.
