Ghana defender Daniel Amartey has been accused of ‘disrespect’ after a video emerged of him throwing Chelsea’s pennant to the floor during Leicester City’s dressing room celebrations on Saturday.
Amartey became the third Ghanaian to win the FA Cup after Michael Essien and Sulley Muntari following Leicester’s victory over the Blues at Wembley – the Foxes first FA Cup trophy.
The 26-year-old, who has struggled with injuries in recent seasons, did not feature but joined the celebrations.
The players lifted the trophy and then returned to the dressing room to continue the party.
With some squad members streaming on Instagram Live, the celebrations were available for all fans to see.
Amartey took this opportunity to jump in front of one camera, pick up the Chelsea pennant exchanged by the captains pre-kick off, and hurl it over his shoulder. It landed on the floor.
